VERTICAL GARDENS & LIVING WALLS
The vertical garden is my favorite type of garden.
Soil is not a requirement; weeds are fairly scarce; and mulch does not even enter the equation.
The plants are attached to a fabric where they receive water and nutrients that are usually supplied through a timed interval irrigation system, which can even recirculate the water.
A vertical garden can be made for an outdoor setting as well as an interior setting.
It can stand alone, or be built on an existing structure or wall.
These gardens are optimal for urban settings where space is limited.
